Heya!

So turns out my period began yesterday so I couldn’t touch the Quran. Nonetheless, I read up the meaning of Al-Faatihah and watched a lecture on the tafsir or elaboration of that chapter in the Quran. It is a long video, close to an hour but I only watched like 10 minutes of it probably so I’m hoping to resume it tonight.

I have more or less memorised the meaning of the chapter because I was forced to during my religious classes so now it’s a matter of increasing my concentration during the five daily prayers by going through the meaning in my head while reciting it.

What I took away from watching the ten minutes of the video was that as we recite Al-Faatihah, especially the first part of it, we are actually conversing with Allah and He is responding to us. The problem is we often pay lip service to the verses because we most probably didn’t know that He is responding to us with every verse recited. I didn’t know to be honest. So now that I know, it definitely changes the way I view the five daily prayers from simply routine to actually facing my King and engaging with Him.

So that’s about keeping up with my daily Quran. I am happy to say that I washed the dishes last night but kan, I only had a cup and a teaspoon to wash. LOL. Because we Grabbed food last night. Le husband is still sick and was too drowsy to cook.

So tonight’s mission is to keep up my routine and I’ll see if I can manage to do another chore.

Boring, right, my life? But I know you are addicted to the way I write because I simply have a good flair for writing, even on the most mundane things. *flips pen*

Nyohoho! Did you catch that?! I flip pens instead of hair. Wakakaka!

Oh hai thar!

Well, of course I haven’t forgotten about the interview with le husband but he is still so very sick that he even got cranky when I kept bugging him for his attention.

Meow meow.

But hey, that means I did get his attention hehehehe.

Anyway, I didn’t achieve much yesterday. I only managed to read the Quran and that’s about it. So tonight, I’m making it my mission to not only read the Quran but to also wash the dishes. I have been torturing my poor sick husband by filling up the sink everyday with my dirty dishes yet the guy never complained about having to clean up after me.

Exemplary husband indeed. Win liao la.

So that’s that!

I haven’t been able to interview my husband nor produce a vlog because I have been soooo busy with work and life!

And now when I finally have time for myself, my husband is sick la pulak. How to interview? Hahaha!

Le husband taught me a little bit of guitar technique. Turns out I have been playing wrongly all my life! I played with too much movement when I should be minimising them to allow smoother transitions to other notes/chords. So you know, you won’t be getting those choppy note by note sound. I haven’t been consistent in learning guitar and hence I have been forgetful in its ways and knowledge. Boo.

The video is so useful for any songwriters looking to create a song out of just three simple chords and a melody line. It is always good to expose yourself to various players because you really get to learn a lot from varying techniques and well, there is never such a thing as having known it all. I always adopt a baka attitude towards everything in life. I don’t know, maybe I just love learning a lot.

I gotta admit I always enjoy guitar sessions with le husband. Just noodling on the guitar and enjoying each other’s presence. MUCH LOVE!

And oh hey, it finally struck us yesterday that we spent five months being married to each other! Yippy! So happy! The past five months have felt like five years. Not in the long and draggy sense but in the long and fulfilling sense. There is just so much..uhmm…how do I describe it…eto…we just feel so comfortable being with each other that we actually don’t feel too different…? I don’t know how to describe it. It just feels like home.

So here’s le husband’s favourite song to commemorate our 5 months together!!!

Yippy!
