I Recommend: 1 March 2021

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

Ushering in the new month of 2021 with music that is an absolute joy to listen to. I will have to sing this for the boys this Thursday.

I will need to learn how to sing with some soul, man.

George Brandis slams Pauline Hanson; I Recommend: 21 March 2021

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

I am always heartened by people of other faith defending people of mine. I find that, sometimes, people just lack sensibilities. They bang the drum, talk about freedom of choice for women to, let’s say, wear a bikini, but at the same time, they refuse to allow women to choose to wear a burka. Where is the sense in that?

So props to George Brandis who understood that the act of wearing a burka for the general Muslim women is their act of faith, a personal choice that is sacred to them. Personally, a burka would be good for me because I am voluptuous. These hips don’t lie, man, and I am sexier than any curvaceous motorcycles. But I haven’t reached that level of faith yet. I’m still very shallow in my faith. But generally, I believe in the principle of protecting one’s modesty. And I am still tying to enforce that in my everyday life.

I Recommend: Adele – Make You Feel My Love (Live on Letterman)

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

Husband was driving us home from dinner and we had Class 95 on the radio. It played Adele’s version of Make You Feel My Love.

It reminded me that I was supposed to learn this song so I can sing to G Hustler’s piano!

I hope we can perform this live one day. In front of a live audience. I don’t know if my voice can ever be as mesmerising as professional singers’ but hey, the only way to find out is to just do it. And just give it my best shot.

So on this cold and rainy night, here’s one for everyone.

I am exhausted. Truly, I am. So when I get pockets of chances to sing, it makes me so so so happy.

I just realised one of the many many songs I enjoyed from Moulin Rouge has its own original full version. I will need to learn the original version. Still, I will always enjoy this scene in Moulin Rouge.

And Allah knows best how I feel right now. – MM

I Recommend: 10 December 2017

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Stumbled upon this while trying to look for a piece of music for le fiance. What a gem. Will be really good when matched to an action-packed reel or compilation of clips from a movie. Hehehe. I wonder if I can do it. Given all these copyright licences, not sure if I can achieve it. Plus…where is the time?! Anyway, I’ve attached my own montage that I did waaaaaaay back using clips from the hit TV series Charmed and the song Path by Apocalyptica below. Okay, now I cannot forgive myself for using that star transition in Windows Movie Maker. SO LOL. And yes, all these while, I’ve only been producing my videos on YouTube using Windows Movie Maker. HAHAHAHA.
