I Ramble: 16 February 2018

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Gong xi! Gong xi! Xin nian kuai le!

Hello, everybody! Happy Chinese New Year! My CNY resolution is to update this blog daily.

That is all.

Well, I managed to watch the Ostersund v Arsenal game at 2am. We won! Yippy! Now I worry that Arsenal will lose games that I didn’t manage to watch. Haha!

Basically, Ospina was stellar. I think everyone was surprised that he was made Captain in the absence of both Mertesacker and Koscielny. And I think making him Captain actually led him to stepping up his game a whole lot more. It was definitely a wonderful surprise. I’ll say we should keep him as our #1 goalie and also a captain! People really do surprise us in a nice way sometimes. Ozil was class as usual and Mkhitaryan looked like he was desperate to prove critics wrong after that Tottnum game. But anyway both linked up very well. The only problem we had was that our strikers were missing. Welbeck need to find his mojo soon and Maitland-Niles need to mature a bit more on the field. Iwobi’s decisions also need massive improvement. Most of the time I find those three a bit lost whenever they have the ball in the final third.

And that’s about it.

Enjoy life!
