In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Happy Holidays to all! I’m glad we all get to have a little break. Even those who are working shouldn’t feel too downcast because there is a great joyous feeling in the air. Let’s soak up the festivities while we still can and push mo yan!
Yesterday, I got to follow le boyfriend around Marsiling while he was working and saw for myself how he works and what his job entails. He reminded me that he had the opportunity to see me at my job and so yesterday I got to see him at his. I think this is why we have a truly special relationship. I know a lot of couples will claim that but hey, everyone is special and everyone’s story is special too. What makes ours special is that we get to form a deeper level of understanding and respect for each other’s work. Some couples struggle to have that because the time and energy spent at work may take their partners away that it leads to trust issues or claims like not spending enough time together and not knowing how to prioritise. For the two of us, we know the importance of working hard, especially in Singapore, and we want each other to be successful at our work. Still, you don’t really know what your partner has to go through until you have experienced it for yourself and from there, you just naturally appreciate the effort your partner is making to fill up his/her ricebowl, which will go towards building your future together as a couple in the end anyway. I guess that is why I have always been wanting my partner to see me at work. Even if he just drops by, he will get to see for himself the environment and ambience of the workplace and for him to have that dimmest idea of what it is like daily for me is already more than enough. So I’m really thankful to Allah for giving me a partner who was game for that and also game for letting me see him work as well.
But that’s enough about me! What are your new year resolutions or have you decided to forgo them? As for me, I’ll have some time to think about them later while le boyfriend is busy working hehehe. In the mean time, have fun watching a Clash-A-Rama short about new year resolutions!
I’m absolutely in love with the Clash-A-Rama series! Thank you so much to le boyfriend for recommending me the game Clash of Clans! Hehe! I love playing it too! 😀
